Of Moonlight and Wishes

Enchantment on a mountain high,

Above the sun and light blue sky;

Gathered harmoniously in the valley below,

Clouds radiant and whiter than snow.

Not a discernible sound is heard,

No rustling leaves or chirping birds.

The stillness is echoed in the trees,

No parading of a springtime breeze.

An ecstasy of heart and mind,

A joy of soul through nature climbed;

Moments of bliss, empathy with glory,

A treasure rare, a rapturous story.

A reminding of tension and care on the ground;

There to return, I am dutifully bound.

But to that life where joy has its place,

I bring a breath of heavenly grace.
