Samuel Fowler Green was born on December 11, 1890 in Washington County, Nebraska to Julia and Eleazer M. Green.

He married Elizabeth H. Wolf on June 6, 1914 in Hancock, Indiana.

Samuel was a Road Tester at The Motor Car Manufacturing Company, makers of Pathfinder Automobiles, Morris and Division Streets, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1917.

He was an Ordnance Sergeant, serial number 1584491, in St. Aignan, France Casual Company 5408. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 16, 1917 and was discharged on June 19, 1919.

Later, Samuel married Veronica Ward Blezek (East Garden Plaque Plate 03-01). Their daughters are Nancy Jane McCullogh and Martha Perry.

He was an executive at Willys Motors, Inc., a past automobile maker in Toledo, Ohio. He worked there for 20 years becoming the Assistant Advertising and Sales Promotion Manager. He retired in 1960.

Samuel died at home on October 25, 1972 in Perrysburg, Ohio.
