St. Paul's Rector Graham's
Foster Daughter

Ellen Louise Reynolds was born on May 27, 1950 in Ravenna, Portage County, Ohio.

As a teenager, Ellen found security and love as the foster child of St. Paul's Rector Howard and Marjorie Graham. Not only did she become a member of the Graham family but found a parish home at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Maumee, Ohio.

Finding the securest childhood home does not insure a life free of difficulties. Ellen was married twice, to Mike Line and to Bob Gatherum, both ending in divorce. Both sons from her first marriage, Joshua and William Line, now reside in Pennsylvania. Ellen was blessed to have established a relationship with her first child, Amy, several years before Ellen's death.

Through her difficulties, Ellen found comfort from her parish home and as a Graham family member. Her son, Joshua Line, became the godson of sisterly friend Jane (Graham) Weber. And Ellen became the godmother of Jane's daughter Shana (Weber) Kaplanov.

Ellen returned the love she first received as a teenager from Majorie Graham by spending much time caring for Majorie in her twilight years.

Ellen Louise (Reynolds) Gatherum died at Manor Care on February 1, 2018 in York, Pennsylvania. Her son, William Line, delighted in returning Ellen's ashes to the very soil of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Maumee, Ohio - Ellen's Parish Home.
