"Thought I’d share to stir up some memories from long time members.
Adult and children’s choirs (but not boys) used to wear these (choir)
caps during services. Probably stopped in the early 60’s. The round
cap was worn by Virginia Burdo, and the child’s cap by Ann Clinger."
"If I remember correctly, we stopped wearing them when we got all new
robes, maybe after Balduf’s arrived. I clearly remember Maryanne
Balduf wearing one on top of her beehive hairdo. The organ was down
in a pit then and you could only see the top of her hair with the
black cap pinned on while she played."
"The organ was in a pit in its current location. During the
renovation of the organ, it was raised to be even with the
upper level floor."
