Palmer Louise Clement was born on December 3, 1923 in Queens, New York to Elsa and Frank E. Reuschle. Her siblings are William Reuschle, Elsa Scudder, Anne Fried, Frank Reuschle, and Robert Reuschle.

She first worked for the Young and Rubicam Advertising Agency.

Palmer married Jonathan Ingle Clement (Garden Wall Niche 3C) in 1947. Their daughters are Meredith Louise Clement, Cynthia Lee Haas, and Jenefer Denberg.

She resided in the Toledo area for 34 years.

Palmer was a recognized Actress at the Maumee Civic Theater.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio serving as a Youth Leader, on the Altar Guild, and during Rummage Sales.

Friend of Louise Charlene Watts

Palmer with a livelong love of sewing, volunteered on the Ohio Quilt Research Project in 1986. She then worked at six National Quilting Association shows. She earned the National Quilting Association Judge Certification in 1990. She was President of the Cellar Sewers Quilt Club, a local affiliate of the National Quilting Association. She was substantially responsible for designing and creating the prize winning 'Window on Ohio' quilt hung in Quilter Lodge at Maumee Bay State Park in Jerusalem Township, Lucas County, Ohio.

Palmer died at home on May 5, 1995 in Sylvania, Ohio.

"Palmer was a master quilter, as I recall. She was a judge in quilting shows. She was a stickler for details in general. This last memory was due to my recollections of her as a youth choir mother when I was young. Hair, robes, clothes, behavior, had to be perfect."
