David Martin Munro was born on September 12, 1915 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mary Martin Munro and Peter C. Munro. His elder siblings are Alexander C. Munroe, John J. Munroe, Margaret E. Berger, Mary F. Munroe, Jeane S. Munroe, Catharine V. Munroe, Annabelle Munroe, and Charles D. Munro. His younger sister is Helen Edith Munro.
He was a young solo soprano choir member at Trinity Cathedral of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
David married Ruth Marie Wintermantle (Garden Wall Niche 11C) on June 7, 1941 in Norfolk, Virginia. Their daughter is Linda Ruth Henry (East Garden Plaque Plate 01-01).
David worked as a Station Manager for Capital Air Lines in several cities ending in New York. He then developed and became Vice President of Air La Carte airline catering in New York. He retired from the airline business in 1968 and moved to Perrysburg, Ohio. He operated The Old Perrysburg Gift Box from 1971 to 1980.
David was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Maumee, Ohio.
He enjoyed refinishing antique furniture.
David died on January 16, 2000.
