Robert Rolen 'Bob' Flick was born on October 9, 1927 in Jackson, Michigan. His sister is Phyllis Jameson. His half-sister is Janette York.

Bob graduated from Jackson High School.

He served in the United States Army Air Corp after World War II in the westernmost United States' territory of Guam.

Bob went to the University of Toledo receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1952.

He first married Barbara Anderson. His children are Bradford Flick, Christopher Flick, and Julaine Flick. Bob married Joan Ellen Flick on July 19, 1975.

Bob worked at Permaglass/Guardian Industries for 37 years as a Sales Engineer, well versed in both the automotive and float glass industries. He retired in 1994 as the Executive Sales Manager of the Automotive Glass Division of Guardian Industries.

During his university years, Bob was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity and the Civil Engineering Club. He also participated in the Jackson, Michigan 'Zouaves' precision marching drill team. During his career Robert was a member of Society of Automotive Engineers.

Bob was an active member of the YMCA of Greater Toledo serving as President of the YMCA of Greater Toledo Men's Club, President of the South Toledo YMCA Board of Directors, member of YMCA of Greater Toledo Board of Directors, Youth Sports Volunteer, and father in the Indian Guides Program.

He was a member of the Bowsher High School Booster's Club as they planned and raised funds to build their football stadium.

He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Maumee, Ohio serving as Vestryman, Senior Warden, Stewardship Fundraiser, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Group Trip Leader, and as a Paul's Peers Respite Care Volunteer.

Bob died at the Swan Creek Nursing Home on October 11, 2006 in Toledo, Ohio.

JOAN ELLEN FLICK

Joan Ellen Flick was born on March 20, 1928 in Millbury, Ohio to Ruth (Hauter) and Glenn Martin. Her sister is Carole Toneff.

She first married Dale Heckman. Their sons are Randall Heckman and Timothy Heckman.

Joan later married Robert Rolen Flick on July 19, 1975.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcoplal Church in Maumee, Ohio.

Joan died on June 25, 2016 at Brighton Gardens in Columbia, Maryland.
