Hephzibah "Betty" (Young) Watts was born on June 24, 1912 above the store at 245 Queen Street, Swinton, West Yorkshire, England to Hephzibah (Jones) and Samuel Young.
Betty's older brothers are Jonah Ameson Young, Samuel "Sam" Young, Richard "Dick" Young, and Albert Jones Young. Her younger brother is Sidney "Sid" Frederick Young.
Betty was baptized on July 28, 1912 at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Swinton, West Yorkshire. She attended Mexborough and District Secondary School.
Hephzibah married Hartley Stephenson Watts on February 21, 1939 at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Swinton, West Yorkshire by Vicar Thomas Godfrey Rogers in the presence of best man Alan Fletcher and maid of honor Agnes MacDougall. Their son is David Stephen Watts.
Betty immigrated with her son and Agnes MacDougall to Canada in 1947 on the R.M.S. Queen Mary, then to the U.S.A. She was naturalized as a citizen of the United States of America on January 18, 1957.
Betty was an Interior Decorator at Barker Brothers in Los Angeles, California and J. W. Robinsons in North Hollywood, California. Several of her customers became close friends.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio.
Betty died at Heartland of Browning on August 20, 1999 in Waterville, Ohio. Her ashes were returned to the Yorkshire Moors.

Hartley Stephenson 'Steve' Watts was born on November 9, 1913 at 4 Salthouse Avenue in Blackpool, Lancashire, England to Eva (Stephenson) and Hartley Frederick Watts. His sister is Kathleen Marie Watts.
Steve was baptized at Trinity United Methodist Free Church in Blackpool. He matriculated from school in July, 1930. Served Cook Apprenticeship at the Norbreck Hydro in Blackpool from 1931 to 1936. He was a Sous-Chef at the Co-operative Restaurant in Blackpool from 1936 to 1941.
Hartley married Hephzibah 'Betty' Young on February 21, 1939 at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Swinton, West Yorkshire. Their son is David Stephen Watts.
Steve served in the British Royal Navy during World War II in the North Atlantic and Indian Oceans from 1941 to 1946. He was the Non-Commissioned Officers' Ward-Room Chef on the mine sweeper ships, HMS Bottle and HMS Coder. After serving in the Royal Navy he was a Chef De Cuisine at the Co-operative Restaurant in Blackpool from 1946 to 1947.
Steve emigrated to Canada in 1947. He was a Night Chef at Chateau Lake Louise (C.P.R.) at Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. He transferred, becoming a Relief Chef at the Empress Hotel (C.P.R.) in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada until 1949.
He emigrated to United States of America in 1949. He was a Relief Cook at the Shadow Mountain Club in Palm Desert, California from January to May then at the Ranch Inn in Elko, Navada from May to October.
Steve was a Relief Cook at the Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles, California from 1949 to 1951, the Brown Derby in Beverly Hills, California from 1951 to 1953, and United Airlines at Los Angeles, California from 1953 to 1955.
He was the Chef Manager at 'Tis Ours Restaurant in Los Angeles, California from 1955 to 1956. He was a Night Cook for Fradelis Frozen Food in Los Angeles, California in 1956. He was the Chef Manager at the Broadway - Crenshaw Cafeteria (Prophet Co.) in Los Angeles, California from 1956 to 1957.
Steve was naturalized as a citizen of the United States of America on January 18, 1957.
Finally, he became an Executive Chef at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California in 1957. He retired in the mid 1960's because of his heart condition.
Steve was a Free Mason of Lodge 1476 in Blackpool, England, since March 23, 1945.
After Hephzibah 'Betty' Watts died in 1999, Steve married Marie Womack.
Steve transferred from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio to the Metropolitan Church in Chicago, Illinois because of the Episcopal Church's liberal stance on homosexuality.
Steve died at 10:25 AM, February 10, 2006 at Heartland of Waterville, Ohio. His body was donated to Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. His ashes were returned to and remain with son, David Stephen Watts, to be returned to Blackpool, England, by family.

Agnes Jessica Stewart MacDougall was born in Helensboro, Scotland on October 28, 1910.
During early adulthood, Agnes befriended Hephzibah Young. She was Hephzibah's maid of honor as Hephzibah married Hartley Stephenson Watts in Swinton, Yorkshire, England in 1939. Agnes was with Hephzibah in Blackpool, Lancashire, England when Hephzibah gave birth to David Stephen Watts in 1942. Agnes remained with David and the Watts family as they migrated to North America in 1947.
Agnes became David Stephen Watts' 'Auntie-Mum'. A second mother who loved and helped raise him. She was warm but strict. She called him 'Dotso'. David Stephen Watts still loves Agnes very much.
Agnes was first married to John Woodward Dailey in the Wee Kirk O' the Heather Church at Forest Lawn-Glendale Memorial Park , on June 24, 1950. Her second husband was Norman Stuart Franklin and her third husband was Joe Johnson.
All her life Agnes searched spiritually and she went to heaven on December 9, 1984. Agnes' earthly remains were interred on December 14, 1984, in Space 4, Lot 170, Sheltering Hills, Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills Memorial Park next to her second husband, Norman Stuart Franklin (January 26, 1899 - September 15, 1969), in Space 3.
