Willis 'Bill' Seamans Peck was born on February 27, 1900 in Pulaski, New York to Minnie Julia and Willis Carter Peck. His sister is Helen L. Peck

He graduated from Syracuse University in New York with a medical degree in 1924. He served his medical internship at the Hospital of the Good Shepherd in Syracuse, New York in 1925.

Bill married Geraldine Merrill Benedict (North Garden Plaque Plate 03-02). Their children are Jo Ann (Peck) (Dansard) McKenney and Mary M. Gallaway.

He first was a general medical practitioner for several years in Syracuse, New York

Bill then received radiology training at the University of Michigan. He became an instructor and associate professor of radiology from 1928 to 1939. He was the Director of the University of Michigan's Radiation Therapy from 1937 to 1939.

Doctors Willis Peck and Murray Goodrich formed a radiology partnership in Toledo, Ohio in 1939 which became the Toledo Radiological Associates.

Bill was the Director of Radiology at the Toledo Hospital from 1962 to 1967. He also did radiological work in Fremont, Sandusky, Port Clinton in Ohio and Adrian in Michigan.

He retired in 1972 but continued as an emeritus staff member at Riverside, Flower, and Toledo Hospitals. He also continued cancer research at Toledo Hospital.

Bill was an American Board of Radiology diplomat, an American College of Radiology fellow, and a Ohio State Radiological Society past president. He was a member of the Northwest Radiological Society, North American Radiological Society, American Radium Society, American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Lucas County Academy of Medicine.

He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Toledo Rotary Club, Toledo Club, Ottawa Skeet Club, and Trout Unlimited. He was president of the Stonehenge Condominium Association and a Maumee Valley Country Day School past trustee.

Bill was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio, serving on its Building Committee, Vestry, and as Senior Warden. As the Chairman of the Building Committee in March, 1955, he consolidated the physical needs of St. Paul's. 1 He was appointed as Chairman of the 125th Anniversary Project in 1960 to recover the sanctuary from beetle, dry rot, and termite damage discovered in 1958. 2 At vestry in April, 1972, Willis created the Preservation Fund, its interest used for church repairs. 3, 4 He was chairmen of the Preservation Fund and trustee of the Welfare Fund.

He was a painter, cabinetmaker, golfer, badminton player, duck decoy designer, trout fly tyer, photographer, wing shot for ducks, and a fly fisherman.

Bill died at home on July 8, 1974 in Sylvania, Ohio.
