June Cartwright was born on June 16, 1922 in Michigan to Ruth and Don Emerson. Her mother Ruth died so June was raised by relatives. June was proud of her Scottish heritage.
June married her high school sweetheart, Jack Cartwright, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Jack served in the U. S. Navy in World War II. After the war they raised two daughters: Patricia 'Patsy' Garver (Garden Wall Niche 5C) and Susan 'Sue' Cohen.
She enjoyed working especially at the Ruth Reynolds' Village Shop of traditional women's apparel during the 1960's and 1970's. She loved golfing and was a member of Heather Downs and Brandywine Country Clubs.
After raising their daughters, June and Jack moved to Clearwater, Florida. She was an active parishioner of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Dunedin, Florida.
Jack Cartwright died in 1999. June continued to proudly live independently in Florida.
June died at her daughter, Patsy's home on Decemer 3, 2008 in Toledo, Ohio.
