Margaret Elinor (Twaddle) Doresco was born on September 13, 1928 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada to Matilda and Robert Twaddle. Her siblings are Maureen Twaddle, Robert Twaddle, and Dennis Twaddle.
Before marriage Margaret was a private secretary.
Margaret married George Donald Doresco (Garden Wall Niche 18A) on April 1, 1950. Their children are Paul Doresco, Kathryn Doresco, and Marcia Bauer (North Garden Plaque Plate 04-04). Their grandchildren are Elizabeth Hilts, David Bauer, Patrick Tessier, Rebecca Tessier, and Emily Waldren. Their great-grandchildren are Spencer Hilts, Gabriella Hilts, Winston Waldren, and Whitaker Waldren.
Margaret and George moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1970 as George became the Dana Corporation Controller at Toledo, Ohio. They returned to Canada in 1973 as George became Hayes-Dana's Executive Vice President and General Manager then President. Margaret and George settled permanently on Manley Road in Maumee, Ohio, in 1977 as George became Dana's Light-Truck Group Vice President at Toledo, Ohio.
During her youth Margaret did much cycling. She and George were curlers and Bowling Green Curling Club members. She was a member of the Inverness Golf Club and a ladies' 9 hole golf champion. Margaret was also a bowler.
Margaret supported and volunteered at the Toledo Symphony League serving as a board member and a fundraising chairperson, the Flower Hospital Auxiliary, and the Ability Center. She was a member of the Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Museum of Art, and Metroparks Toledo. She was member of the Byrnwyck Garden Club and gardener proud of her family's Christmas cactus passed down for over one hundred years.
Margaret was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio serving on the Altar Guild and church rummage sales. She participated in the church's book club and several times a year went on Toledo Art Museum tours by museum docents of St. Paul's parish.
Margaret died on February 5, 2026 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.
