Efrida Georgia Reiter Dunn was born on January 7, 1916 in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada to Jennie B. and Colonel George Hurst. Her brother is Jesse Byron Sweedland and her sister is Juanita Elizabeth Newsome.

Her family moved to East Toledo, Ohio in 1925. She graduated from Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio in 1934.

Elfrida married John Reiter in May, 1935. Their children are Stanley J. Reiter, Edward J. Reiter, and Pamela J. Long.

After John Reiter died in 1973, Elfrida married Clifford J. Dunn (North Garden Plaque Plate 01-02) in June, 1978.

She resided Rossford, East Toledo, and Bowling Green, Ohio.

Elfrida was a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Robert Goulding.

She was a past member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo, Ohio. She most recently was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio.

Elfrida volunteered at the East Toledo Neighborhood Center. She was active in the Parent Teacher's Association, the Order of the Eastern Star, and became president of the Assisted Living Group at her Alterra Sterling House residence.

Elfrida died at Flower Hospital on February 26, 2003 in Sylvania, Ohio.
