She was a teacher for 29 years mainly at Wayne Trail Elementary School.
She was an active lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio.
Thelma died on November 2, 2005 in Lucas County, Ohio.

Robert Gaylord Sechler was born on June 27, 1916 in Blackriver, Douglas County, Wisconsin to Mildred Rainey and Harold Dean Sechler.
He went to Shattuck Military Academy in Minnesota, St. Peterburg Junior College in Florida, and Purdue University in Indiana.
Robert served overseas in the United States Army during World War II.
Robert married Thelma Kathleen Burdo in 1944. Their children are Mildred Schrock, Robert Sechler Jr., Richard Sechler, Mary Post, Charles Sechler, Thomas Sechler, and Joel Sechler.
He initially was a Farmer in Sechlerville, Wisconsin. He moved to Ohio in 1952. He became an Automobile Prototype and Tooling Inspector working on Aerospace Defense Projects across the United States.
He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio.
Robert died at home on June 7, 1996 in Waterville, Ohio.
