Virginia Mae Burdo was born on May 15, 1915 in Maumee, Ohio to Lila May and Ralph Burdo (05-03).* Her siblings are Carolyn Hope Burdo, Thelma Kathleen Sechler (07-03), Naomi Fay Bryant (06-03), Laura Madeline Sherrouse, Lila Burdo, Helen Juanita Womack, Frederic Ralph Burdo, Marilyn Dean, and Richard Burdo.

She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

Virginia taught in Maumee, Ohio Schools for for 39 years at Fort Miami, Fairfield, and Union Elementary Schools, retiring in 1975.

She enjoyed singing in the Maumee Senior Center Choir.

Virginia was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee, Ohio. She was a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Choir and Altar Guild. She was an Altar Guild Director.

Virginia died at St. Luke's Hospital on July 15, 2000 in Maumee, Ohio.
