"Though Mary Spangler is not directly remembered in St. Paul's Parish's Memorial Garden, she remains the parish's favorite Spangler family member. The parish became an extension of her home on Broadway about a block away. So parishioners became family receiving her joy, enthusiasm, compliments, encouragement, and assistance. Mary gave so much becoming a permanent part of St. Paul's Episcopal parish."

"So awesome David I miss Mary."

"Mary’s picture still hangs in the sacristy. And Mary always stayed after coffee hour to help clean up. One Sunday I watched her approach you (Sexton David Watts) while you were hurling those long heavy tables to put them away, offering to help. Fortunately, you didn’t let her. She always wanted to lend a hand."
Jane Graham Weber, 2/4/2021

"Mary was an inspiration to us all. She was style and grace personified. Her kindness and compassion was something you just don't see much of nowadays. She is truly missed by the altar guild."
Susan Cartwright Cohen, 2/5/2021

"I need to find a pic I took of Mary from one of our last rummage sales. She was always the energizer bunny! Knew her all my life, her daughter Becki and I grew up together at St Paul’s."
Kathy Greene, 2/9/2021
